Tubesock : YouTube Video Channel

This addon takes the stress out of implementing YouTube videos on sites. Instead of explaining to your clients about 'Embed Codes' or 'Video IDs' - this custom fieldtype simply allows you to display *all* videos in a drop down list populated from the clients YouTube channel.

Included in the zip is also the Tubesock plugin which allows you to output compliant code for the YouTube videos as well as dynamically produce an image of the video as well!

The criteria were to provide a site which focuses on Cheetah Marine's flexible approach to each new build and which can be updated as each Cheetah catamaran is completed.

The user will find an informative section on each boat delivered with details on specification, photos, media clips and particulars about special features. With dynamic site updates and newsletters, regular visitors will be able to see a frequently changing and continually expanding company presence.

Working with leading offshore sailing and marine events company OC Group, Hippo was tasked with working with the in-house development team to iron out some of the advanced requirements and complexities required to implement certain functionality on this site.

With a combination of inventive PHP plus a number of custom components the site was launched in July 2010 to much acclaim; and boasts impressive visitor statistics.
