Hippo Joins the Esteemed

After a tiring past 6-months putting the finishing touches on our own website, Hippo finally joins the esteemed members of the EllisLab ExpressionEngine Pro Network.

Well, Wow! It's been hard work, but we've finally done it!

We've been working so hard for our clients the past 6-months that we've just not had chance to get our own website up and running, but finally we've had some time to ourselves and here it is!

And to coincide with the launch of the site, we're so chuffed to have been accepted for entry into the EllisLab ExpressionEngine Professional Network.

On behalf of all the guys at Hippo, we'd like to thank Leslie, Lisa and all at EllisLab for the quick turnaround in our application!

So now, onwards and upwards!

If possible, as you achieve experience, would you thoughts updating your blog with additional information? This can be very helpful for me.I’ll use this information to provide research papers for my friends.

British Wildlife Photography Awards

Inheriting a project in partnership with a local design agency, Hippo was tasked with providing a number of fundamental changes to the structure and logic within the site in time for a new campaign. Implementing a large quantity of custom scripting, add-on development, jQuery and xHTML - Hippo revamped the back-end structure for the clients changing requirements.

Working with the client, Hippo rewrote part of the site to cope with the extreme visitor count it had received since the launch of this national competition the previous year.

The result was a much leaner, faster and more automated processes saving the client valuable time and money.

MADE

MADE is an architecture and built environment centre based in Birmingham and working in the Midlands and beyond. Hippo developed the site from provided designs by a Midlands-based designer and UI freelancer. We took the completed design files, converted them to xHTML and integrated a full ExpressionEngine framework into the site.

The site uses extensive plug-ins and add-ons, both commercial and bespoke as well as a large quantity of custom PHP to fulfil the client requirements.
